Who Am I?
I wear many hats, I am a mom of two who adores working in the Fitness Industry. I am passionate about helping others lead a healthier lifestyle through education, inspiration and motivation!
As a teenager, I was always active – I studied Martial Arts for years and was the only female black belt in my club at the age of 16.
I got into dance (salsa) at the ripe old age of 21 and became a professional dancer/teacher/performer/DJ – I spent 12 years travelling the world before I became a mom.
I started teaching Dance Fitness the year before I became pregnant with my daughter, Zumba was just making its way into the limelight and I was the first to bring it to my area.
I discovered other courses and finally decided to move into Fitness full time when my maternity leave came to an end.
Since then, I’ve qualified in many fitness niches (Pre/Postnatal and Children’s Fitness), became a PT, moved in Tutoring and Assessing and I run weekly group fitness classes as well as having a full list of PT clients.
Growing up I was always ill with one thing or another, my immune system was weak and I would lose a lot of time from work and it was frustrating.
It wasn’t until I became a mom and moved into Fitness Full time that I realised I wasn’t taking good care of myself.
I focused more on nutrition alongside exercise and realised that I was no longer getting ill as often (I very rarely get ill now) and I knew more about healthy eating because of my children.
I have had my own struggles with my weight, as I got older, the emphasis became more about self-care and in particular mental health as I suffered from PND after both my children.
Why Should You Work With Me?
I know what it’s like to struggle and feel as if you are failing or just don’t have the energy to do the everyday things you want to do.
I want to be healthy so I can spend the best quality time with my children. I know I need to exercise and eat well to help me do that and I have the knowledge, experience and qualifications to be able to help you do the same!
