Today was my first PT session with Mel. After dragging my feet to get started, I now can’t wait for the next one!

The session was at my pace and suited my level of ability. I was encouraged to push myself but still felt comfortable with everything I was doing.

A great deal of attention was paid in getting my posture and form correct – which was really beneficial as I could instantly feel the difference when exercising.

Mel understands my goals and has given me the confidence in myself that I can achieve them. Not only has today’s session left me feeling worked out, but it has also been a real positive boost for me mentally.

Mel has encouraged me to put away the scales and focus on being healthy and strong, which is something I hope to take on board, as I’m guilty of weighing in as often as every day some weeks.

I’ve been looking for a personal trainer for a while now and am so pleased I found Mel. Being a busy working Mum like Mel,, I found we developed an instant rapport.

I don’t enjoy going to the gym and am not very self-motivated so this way of exercising really works for me.

In our sessions I work all the muscles I would do in the gym using things like medicine balls and weighted bars which is much more fun.

We even do a bit of boxing. I have my session straight after school drop-off on my day off and always feel energised afterwards.

I’ve always had an interest in my own personal fitness, but with the job that I do and the international travel involved, the motivation for paying for a gym membership let alone attend the gym and subsequent PT sessions has always been a non-starter for me.

Coupled with this and the sense of ‘gym pressure’ that can often come into play, has meant that my own personal fitness has somewhat lacked over recent months.

I am married to a woman who has always had a passion for fitness and dance, and seeing her recent return to regular training cadence and working towards new fitness qualifications, has re-kindled my enthusiasm for my own personal fitness.

It was through the personal friendship that my wife has with Mel and the fact that Mel is also my wife’s PT, that led me to request my own set of regular 1-2-1 fitness sessions with her.

I have now been training with Mel for 3 months, and I can honestly say I feel healthier, fitter and have more energy than I did before I started.

Coupled with this, is Mel’s expertise, knowledge and guidance about how to train and what muscle groups to focus on, which is allowing me to understand and improve during and after each session.

The sessions have also enhanced my stamina and cardio capabilities and have allowed me to return to regular road-running activities which I do alongside the PT sessions.

Each session are no walk in the park, and Mel pushes you hard, but this is exactly what you want from a dedicated and professional Personal Trainer. Needless to say, I’m looking forward to my next session.

After a year or so out of the fitness industry, I decided that I wanted to have PT sessions for myself as I never really had time for my own fitness development. I couldn’t think of anyone better than Mel, her motivation and upbeat style and her vast knowledge, just knew how to get the best out of me.

Mel listened to what I wanted to achieve and designed a varied and challenging workout regime that enabled me to build up my strength and endurance, something that had most definitely decreased over a period of 15 months.

She is such a knowledgeable and personable PT and instructor which I trust and value her guidance. I would highly recommend and look forward to my next sessions and achieving my goals.
